New York native, Cochrane Williamz is a photographer born in The County of Kings, Brooklyn NY. His cinematic approach to photojournalism was inspired by the movies that fueled his fascination of cinematography. By observing camera angles and framing compositions of cinematographers like Michael Bay, Andrzej Bartkowiak and Robert Burks, he was able to translate their techniques into a style of street photography. The subjects he photographs include musicians, artists, performers and the environments that surround them such as their homes, creative, spaces, skylines, cityscapes and landscapes. He enjoys the high energy that drives the metropolis nightlife along with documenting the wide range of personalities that inhabit it. Cochrane is a freelance photographer that has worked with Violator Management, Trace Magazine, Urban Ink Magazine and Antenna Magazine as well as other online media publications. He has also worked with several charity foundations such as L’alturist, The Fallen Whistles and Brooklyn Diaspora.
